Portland Cider Co Clackamas Pub + Cidery – A Can’t Miss Destination for Cider Lovers!

Portland Cider Co Overview

In 2012 Portland Cider Co launched and at the beginning of 2013 they sold their first cider, and they quickly became one of Portland’s most successful cideries. Early on in their journey Portland Cider Co Co-founder Jeff Parrish was the head cider maker. Today Deron Davenport fills that role and he is doing a wonderful job!

Portland Cider Co makes several very accessible ciders that are perfect for people just getting into craft cider. If you are new to craft cider, give Portland Cider Co’s Kinda Dry or Sorta Sweet a try.

For those familiar with English style ciders Portland Cider Co offers three options – Union Jack, Scrumpy, and English Pub.

For me the most delightful part of the Portland Cider Co line up is their Small Batch & Seasonal offerings. So many delightful ciders in those two categories!

Sometimes ciders in those two categories are available in cans at retailers across the Portland metro area as well as in all of Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.

Other times you will only find theses ciders on tap at their Clackamas Pub or the Portland Cider House.

Some of my favorite Portland Cider Co small batch & seasonal offerings are Blueberry Bourbon Basil (a Portland Cider Co Blue Star Donut collab), Razzberry, Imperial Peach Tea, Bloody Hell, Crangerine, and Santa’s Sauce.

Taproom Exclusives

Lastly, once in a great while you can find some Taproom Exclusives available. Wow! Those are some very special ciders. Here are three I have enjoyed in the past:

Bourbonator a 7.5% ABV, bone-dry cider made with 100% Northwest apples, aged in Bourbon barrels,

Extra Dry a 8.0% bone dry cider that is fermented down until there are no sugars left, and

Fever Bark Tonic a 6.3% cider that is made with whole Juniper Berries and Cinchona Bar. Think a cider that reminds you of an old school Gin & Tonic.

Portland Cider Co Clackamas Pub!

If you love cider and you find yourself in the Portland Metro area do yourself a favor and head over to Portland Cider Co’s Clackamas Pub.

This pub is located at 8925 SE Jannsen Road, Bldg. F Clackamas, OR 97015.

They have over 15 ciders on tap, a fun cider slushie machine, and a food menu that includes items like a pretzel with cider fondue, house made scotch eggs, shepherd’s pie, and scrumpy cake!

Happy Hour runs everyday from 3 PM – 6 PM and from 9 PM to close on Friday and Saturday.

They have seating in the main tap room, outside (weather permitting), and inside in the back by the very large, very awesome “apple” mural!

I for one love the pretzel with cider fondue and pro tip – I add a banger to my pretzel fondue order.
